Q. How often should I spray to keep the ants away??
A.  Alpine has no residual. For ants, depending on the species, we almost always recommend baits. If you are looking for a residual spray, we recommend the Phantom Insecticide. It is a concentrate that must be diluted with water and sprayed onto surfaces. It's a non-repellent insecticide and although it has a delay kill effect, it is particularly effective for ant infestations. Q. I have cats how soon after applying this can they go back into the room. Also does it just get sprayed around the border of teh room for fleas? ?
A.  The cats can reenter the room as long as the treatment has completely dried, which typically takes a couple of hours. This should be applied to cracks and crevices along baseboards, wherever the cats usually rest (under their beds, on furniture, on rugs, etc.), as well as the frames of furniture (couch, beds, chairs, etc.). For flea control though, rather than Alpine, we recommend Ultracide, which was made specifically for flea control and also includes a IGR mixed into the solution.

Q. Safe to be around while pregnant??
A.  The Alpine does not release any vapor or fume after it dries and the label states that this product can be used inside hospitals. It should be fine. I would recommend that you do not come in direct contact with the surface. You may want to ask your doctor as well. A copy of the product MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) can be accessed on our website.
