Amdro Pro Fire Ant Bait is a granular insecticide formulated specially for fire ants. The product is ideal for use in controlling fire ants and other species of ants in lawns, landscaped areas, golf courses, parks, school grounds, picnic grounds, athletic fields and other non-cropland areas.

Amdro Pro Fire Ant Bait - 25lb. bag

Amdro Fire Ant Bait contains Hydramethylnon, a metabolic inhibitor that is highly effective in controlling fire ant populations and colonies. The product has a slow-acting formulation that is attractive in attracting and decimating fire ants. The product's active ingredient gives worker ants enough time to transfer the bait to the colony food stores. As the queen ant and other ants consume the powerful bait, the colony's ability to gather food and produce new ants is impaired.

Why Should You Use Amdro Pro Fire Ant Bait ?

Q. How long must horses be off a pasture that is treated for a few fire ant mounds. My previous container said it was safe for horses not used for consumption but the new container says nothing about that except for a generic statement about non use around animals?
A.  Amdro Fire Ant Bait cannot be used around livestock animals at all. However, if you are raising horses for companionship, it is alright to use around them. However, for maximum safety, we recommend leaving the treated area undisturbed for at least 7 days. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
