Q. fogger products?
I have a fogger (Burgess) which I would like to use indoors to fog my barn, home basement and or attic for all sorts of primarily ants, flies, moths, and spiders (big wolf spiders). can I safely do this what type of products can i use to make up the solution? thank you
We recommend using either the Ecoexempt IC-2
or the Speckoz Evercide Esfenvalerate EC
. The Ecoexempt IC-2 is made of more natural botanical ingredients. However, because it is not an EC, it will create more of a mist when used with the fogger. You could also use the Speckoz Evercide, which will give you more of the fog effect.
For treatment, please remove all pets and animals before using the fogger. Animals may be let in once the area is dried for a couple of hours
Q. do bug bombs get rid of yellow jackets in basement...not sure where hive is?
A. Bug bombs can control only to a certain extent. If there are yellow jackets that are flying around in the basement and come in contact with the insecticide, they will die on contact; however, there may be a nest in the wall void which means that the bomb or fogger may not be effective or will not eradicate the infestation. Dusts, like Delta Dust, are great products to use in the wall void for yellow jacket control.
Q. Are there any bug bombs that will hel to control or eliminate termites/?
A. Unfortunately, there aren't any bug bombs that we carry that target termites. As far as we know, bug bombs are not very effective to control termites since most are repellent insecticides and have very short residual times. Depending on the species of termites, the control method may slightly change. Feel free to give us a call at 1-800-788-4142 or email us with more questions about termite control.
Q. do I need to cover my furniture/how many bombs do i need??
do i need to cover all my furniture when i use this? will one bomb do my entire house?
A. Please be more specific by providing us with the name of the product so that we may better assist you.
Q. Will an insect spray bomb hurt children even after following all precautions and staying out of the house??
Will a child be safe if they stay away at least 12 hours?
A. It really depends on the fogger. Generally, aerosol foggers are an instant knockdown kill and will not have any effects after it has dried or dissipated from the air. Usually, after the foggers release and dissipate (which can take anywhere between 3-4 hours) it is fine for reentry after ventilation.
Q. WILL BUG BOMBS KILL RATS?
A. No, it will not. Bug bombs are labeled specifically for crawling or flying insects and will not effect rodents. It may cause them to become ill but it will not kill them.
Q. about bug bombs?
If you are setting a bug bomb under your home should you do it while no one is home
A. Generally, you would want to evacuate the area for a couple of hours when using bug bombs.
Q. which one should I use to kill house centipedes & spiders??
We seem to have house centipedes in my daughters room, I understand they bite and would like to eliminate them. While I understand they are looking for food, I wish to eliminate their source which I suspect are spiders. Which bug bomb would you recommend to kill them all...and do I need to remove the bed matress?
A. There is no such bomb that will get rid of centipedes or spiders. We recommend Suspend SC which is a liquid concentrate that is diluted in water and sprayed on surfaces like the baseboards, under and behind the furniture, the window sills and etc. All treated areas should be avoided until it is completely dry. You do not need to remove the bed mattress as this is not the primary area that centipedes will hide. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. Eco friendly?
Is there a Eco friendly fogger, I'm trying to bug bomb a whole neighborhood. And nobody is going to walk it, but they will ride 4 wheelers and toss cans whereever.
A. We do not have any kind of insecticide for that use nor do we advise that insecticides be used in that manner. It is both non-effective and hazardous to the environment.
Q. we have really really bad earwings(pincherbugs)?
Should we use bug bombs to kill them , however we have cats that we dont know where to put becuase they cant really leave the house and they cant be out for long periods and dont like outside at all . also if you spray riad which is not fixing the issue only making it much much worse , can the animals go back in that room or area of house after a day or too ?
A. Earwigs usually live around pine straws, mulches, etc. We recommend that you use Suspend SC to spray around pine straws, bushes, marsh areas, etc. You can also do perimeter treatments and surface treatments with Suspend. As long as the area is dried after application, it is safe for animals.
Q. i have a home insect fogger, do i need to leave my house if only doing my basement?
A. It is recommended that you leave the premises for about 2-3 hours as a precautionary measure. Upon return, please aerate the house to ensure that there are no remaining fumes.
Q. Is this a safe product to use? I have young children that live here??
A. Bug bombs are safe as long as the house is evacuated for 4-5 hours after treatment. Upon return, be sure to fully ventilate the area by opening all windows.
Q. do bog bombs kill spidermites?
A. Bug bombs are not effective for spider mite treatment. We recommend treatment with a controlled insecticide that is applied with a pump sprayer like Suspend SC. Suspend SC cannot be used on fruit or vegetable plants but it can be used on ornamental plants. If you have any questions about the product, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-788-4142.
Q. what fogger do you recommend to rid a home of fleas??
I have you discount store quality foggers with little success. It has been approximately 6 months since I last treated.
A. We recommend you use Precor Fogger for initial treatment, Along with it, we recommend using Zenprox in order to spray onto the carpets. Zenprox has a longer residual time of about 2-3 months, killing the fleas when they come into contact with the treated area.
Q. I have use bug fogger sprays and bate traps . I can seem to get ride of the cock roaches?
i have been in this home for years. never had this problem before..
A. Cockroach control will depend on the species of roaches. If you have a German cockroach problem, we recommend using Dupont Advion Roach Bait Gel to apply in areas like under the sink, behind the toilet, under the cabinets, on utility lines behind laundry machines, and etc. Please follow the product label before applying any pesticides. If you have a large roach problem, most likely, they will be coming from the outside and outdoor roach control is necessary. Create a barrier of insecticide by applying Suspend SC around the entire perimeter of the structure. If you have any questions about other products or roach control, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-788-4142.
Q. fleas and mosquitoes ?
I might have a flea and mosquito problem any suggestions to get rid of them both with one treatment ?? thanks so much
A. Unfortunately, you will not be able to get rid of any pest with just one treatment. Flea control involves much more than just one application of an insecticide. You must do indoor and outdoor treatment with a variety of insecticides. For a complete consultation on flea control, please give us a call at 1-800-788-4142. For mosquitoes, we recommend Suspend SC with Archer IGR that is applied on ornamental plants and shrubs around the perimeter of the house.
Q. If i use a bug bomb do i need to wash everything after its done like the sheets and blankets??
A. Yes, it is recommended that you do so because the chemical will have released onto surfaces. Although it will be fairly mild, we do recommend that you wash or launder your upholstery.
Q. How many bug bombs do I need for my home??
I have an 8 room house, so how many bug bombs will I need?
A. It really depends on what bomb you use and for what pest. All the bug bombs and foggers that we carry have the area that it covers on the product label. Please refer to the product label of the specific fogger you are looking for.
Q. i have chronic liver disease...will any of theses chemicals to kill off bed bugs harm me??
A. Unfortunately, we are not very knowledgeable in that area. We recommend that you list out the active ingredients of the products you are interested in purchasing and inquire about them to your physician. They will be able to better assist you.
Q. I am planning on bombing my crawl space only, but i have small animals, reptiles and fish tank as well as dogs is it safe to keep them in the home?
I purchased Eliminator indoor fogger, and have not been able to find out any information about if there are animals in the home, do i need to remove them if i am only doing the crawl space, as it will be very difficult to remove every one for 4 hours
A. Unfortunately, we do not carry Eliminator indoor fogger, so we do not have an adequate amount of information on the product. However, our assumption would be that it is alright to leave the animals because you are using it in the crawl space, but please call the manufacturing company of the product to find out accurate information.
Q. will bug bombs kill house centipedes????
A. Centipedes are usually occasional invaders and do not infest in large enough numbers for bombs to be very effective. We recommend doing an outdoor barrier treatment every three months to keep them out. Suspend SC, Talstar Pro, Cy-Kick CS, and Demon WP all have centipedes on the product label as a target pest. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. I have a house with an outside access only basement. I would like to set off a fogger in the basement. However, as is the situation at this time, nor myself nor my dogs can go anywhere whilst doing so. If I close the the air vents and make sure the ac/furnace unit is off, will and then be safe to remain home whilst fogging? ?
A. Unfortunately, regardless of if you remain inside the home or not, the vents should be closed and the units should all be shut off. However, you will not be able to remain inside the structure as it is not labeled nor is it safe to stay inside the home. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. I really need a do-it-yourself product for termites?
I believe I have furiture with termites because of tiny yellow sawdust looking droppings. I need to eliminate or at least contain them before they spread to the rest of my home. Where I live there isn't professional extermination.
A. First and foremost, you must identify the pest before you can really eliminate the infestation. Do-it-yourself termite control on furniture can be tricky because in order to successfully treat the piece of furniture, you will either have to fumigate or sand down the wood to get the surface bare enough to treat with a liquid preservative/termiticide. Fumigation is usually not safe for DIY treatments. We recommend Premise or if you can sand down the wood, then we recommend Boracare, which is not only a great wood-pest insecticide, but it is also a wood preservative. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. do u have pictures of what they look like. silverfish and brown. and earwings.?
A. Pictures of silverfish and earwigs can be found on our website on their respected category page or can be found online by using a search engine. You can also email us at email@example.com and we can provide you with pictures or direct you to some pictures as well. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. Is there a insect fogger exclusively for termites??
A. We do not have a fogger that is exclusively for termites. In fact, we do not believe foggers to be very effective for termite control. Effective termite control will depend on what species you have and where and how extensive the isolated infestation is. After inspecting and analyzing the situation, please feel free to give us a call at 1-800-788-4142 for recommended products on termite control.
Q. What bombs work best for centipedes? ?
I live in Wisconsin and purchased a condo 3 years ago. They had done alot of yardwork outside and it caused a crack in my foundation along with moisture. Anyway, the centipede outbreak has been terrible. They are everywhere. I dont really want to spray since it would involve me getting in cracks where they are hiding. Iam deathly afraid of them. What bomb, if any is effective in killing them?? I want one that lasts a long time. These things have to go...permanently before I lose my sanity. Please Help!!!
A. Unfortunately, there is not bug bomb or automatic aerosol dispenser that we carry that will be suitable for the area you are targeting nor will it be very effective for centipedes. You must treat with a concentrate insecticide that is mixed with water and sprayed onto surfaces. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
Q. I need to know if this fooger will work on spiders. I also need to know space capacity it will cover and keeped close how long the fumigation will last.?
I have an interest to use this product in a close cargo container that is being shipped over seas and it is arriving with spiders any advice?
A. Yes, the Speckoz Evercide Fogger is labeled for spiders as one of its targeted pests. One unit will cover about 6,000 cubic feet of unobstructed area (a room 30' x 25' with an 8 foot ceiling). Do not remain in the area during treatment and ventilate the area thoroughly before reentry.
Q. How long after I bomb will I be bug free?
I bombed for earwigs, after the process I came in opened up all the windows turned on fans and air conditioning, vacuumed and washed down everything. There were quite a few dead ones that I vacuumed up... How long before I will not have them crawling around anymore. I live in an apartment, there is no mulch or wood chips around, I have this problem every year, but this year seems to be worse then others!
A. Bombing will only kill any active earwigs. It will not be very effective for any insects that are hiding. We recommend putting down a general insecticide that will have a residual like Suspend SC. It is also important to inspect, locate and seal any possible entry points to help keep them out.
Q. will bug bombs set off a sprinkler system?
A. Most smoke bombs are not designed for indoor use. Foggers are more dense, therefore it should not effect the sprinkler system.
Q. what is a dry bomb used to kill termites?
A. We carry bug bombs (insect foggers) for general pest control use but not ones that are specifically targeted for termites.
Q. what is the best month to bomb bees before they become to active?
A. This would all be a case by case determination on the best bombing time for bees. If there is an active hive, you can use a product like wasp freeze or stingray wasp and hornet jet spray to treat the nests. Removing the bee hive would be the best way to keep them from reinvesting the area.
