Q. demon bug spray for fire ant?

For individual fire ant mounds, apply Demon WP as a drench treatment. Gently apply a total of one gallon of solution over the surface of mounds up to 12 inches in diameter.

It is advisable to use 2 gallons for larger mounds. Thoroughly wet mound and surrounding area. Treat new mounds as they appear.

Pressurized sprays may disturb the ants and cause migration. If possible, applications should be made on warm days after recent rainfall.

All colonies in the vicinity should be treated, including those that have not yet constructed a mound.

Q. demon pest control?
A.

We recommend making exterior treatments in late summer or early fall before flies are observed alighting on surfaces and then apply thoroughly on siding, under eaves, and around windows and doors, paying particular attention to south-facing surfaces.

It is advisable to apply just enough dilution to adequately cover the area without excessive dripping or runoff. Heavy precipitation prior to frost may require re-treatments to maintain protection.

Q. Demon WP Insecticide for roach control?
A.

Well, Demon WP Insecticide is not an attractant or a lure so it will not actually lure them out.

However, normally, you will see higher activity when they are disturbed. Since Demon WP has a delay kill effect, it may be that infected roaches that have come in contact with the poison are making it back in time and disturbing the nest in some way. Also, normally, roaches will not come out when there is light. That is typically why they will scatter when the light is turned on.

However, if they were to come in contact with this pesticide or any pesticide of its like, it interrupts their internal nervous system and they cannot differentiate such things as normal routines and etc. This may also be why you are seeing more of them than usual.

Treating for roaches will really depend on the type of species that you have infesting your home. Also, indoor and outdoor control will vary a little bit and some methods will be more effective than the other depending on location and species of the roaches.

However, we would like to assure you that Demon WP is by far one of the most powerful pesticides available for a broad spectrum of crawling insects.

It would not be normal if it didn't kill any pests at all. But if you are interested in other methods of kill, please feel free to contact us again.

Q. Demon WP Insecticide for cockroach control?
A.

Thank you for the reply.

Demon WP actually has a residual time of 2-3 months and it is only necessary to continue to spray more than that if the infestation is very heavy, but you should not spray more than once every 8-10 days.

Also, additional material will really depend on the species of roaches that you have, but we always recommend a bait type of poison for roach control.

Dupont Advion Roach bait gel, Alpine roach bait gel are just a few of the ones that we recommend for roach control. Baits are especially effective for indoor roach control

Q. About a week ago recently sprayed Demon WP mixed with Gentrol in a rental. Previously,I had used Dupont Advion Gel and the tenant said it lost its effectiveness over time. I remember reading that it may not be effective when using insecticide after a gel product. If this doesn't work, what would you recommend??
A.  If you spray insecticide over the gel, the gel will definitely lose its effectiveness. You should not apply gel and contact insecticide in the same areas. If you would like to apply both, a rule of thumb would be to keep baits up high and insecticides down low. For instance, you can place baits on counters and in and under the cabinets and spray the insecticides down low on the baseboards or by the door frames. Both Demon and Dupont Advion are effective insecticides for roach control.

Q. I had been using Dupont Advion gel to control roaches at a rental property. The tenant claimed it wasn't as effective as it had been so I switched up to Demon WP and mixed in Gentrol. The results haven't been as good as I had hoped. I remember reading that insecticide after a gel may have bad results. Was this a mistake? If so, what would you recommend at this point??
A.  No, the insecticide that is sprayed after a gel should not change the effectiveness of the spray, however, if you spray on top of a gel, that may change the effectiveness of the gel bait. We do recommend using both by keeping baits up high and the insecticide near the bottom. Consider using a different insecticide that will provide a longer residual like Lambdastar 9.7. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.

Q. Will it work well on ticks??
A.  Both ticks and fleas are on the product label for Demon WP so it will kill them on contact. If you are doing a perimeter spray, Demon WP will work fine. If you have a large yard and have to do a broadcast treatment, it may be easier to use a granule than a liquid spray. Granules will give you more coverage. Deltagard G Granules are what we recommend for tick and flea control.

Q. Best time of day??
A.  If you are trying to do a general pest control application of Demon WP, you will mix 9.5g to a gallon of water. 1 gallon of solution will treat anywhere between 1,000 to 1,500 sq. ft. You should not spray more than that. There is no preferred time of day for general application; however, that may change depending on the target pest.

Q. Demon WP application?
A.  Demon pesticide safety will mostly result from the correct application of the Demon WP in all the labeled areas of the house. Keep in mind that since Demon WP is a wet-able powder, although it is mixed with water and sprayed on, it will leave behind a visible residue. Therefore, it is already limited on where you are able to apply this product. We recommend only treating base boards, windowsills, door frames, and under or behind large appliances like the stove, refrigerator, and laundry machines. You can also apply this product behind the toilets and under the sinks. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
