Do You Have a Question about this Product? Ask Our Experts!

Q. Does this kill all stages of carpet beetles; larvae, eggs and adult??
A.  That is not labeled. Most insecticides, though, will not actually kill the eggs directly. However, because of the long residual of Fenvastar, when the eggs hatch, the chemical will kill the larvae on contact.

Q. I guess due to a very mild winter we are experiencing a excessive amount of Gnats of all kinds what do you recommend to get rid of these?
A.  Fly light traps are a safe way to control flies and gnats. For gnats that are smaller, the Flyweb Light is a good way to control them. If you are looking for an insecticide, consider using FenvaStar or Lambdastar 9.7. IF either product is applied indoors, it is important that you let the treated area completely dry before reentry. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us again.

Q. How long is the residual effect? I am planning to use this as a bed bug treatment for my apartment. Also, I am currently using Bedlam as well. What are the steps you would suggest in using both products together? Which first and how? Many thanks!?
A.  The residual for Fenvastar indoors is about 3-4 months. We recommend treating the furniture frames, in between the mattress and box spring, and those tight areas with cracks and crevices with Bedlam first. Wait till it completely dries. Then apply Fenvastar in other broad areas like the baseboards of the room, under and behind furniture, and etc. Wait till the area completely dries before reentry. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.

Q. Can FenvaStar EcoCap be combined with Onslaught to treat bed bugs??
A.  There is no reason to mix FenvaStar EcoCap and Onslaught together. Instead of enhancing the results, it could produce a reverse effect and make the treated areas repellent to the bed bugs, reducing the efficiency of the treatment.

Q. I had spray right one of a bed bug the never killed it?
A.  The fenvastar is a micro encapsulated insecticide. Therefore it will have a longer residual time compared to other insecticides. However this also means that it will have a longer delay kill effect because the capsulized insecticide is releasing at a slower rate. Delay kill reaction insecticides are best for treating bed bugs because it allows the bugs to be able to survive long enough to take the contacted poison back to its nesting area.
