Q. Flea in backyard?
I've been looking for an insecticide that I could use to control Fleas in my backyard as well as to my dogs. In your website, there are variety of products and I'm confuse to which one I should get. I appreciate it if you can help me. It would be a plus if that product can be use inside the house too.

It includes 2 cans of Ultracide which is used for areas that are concentrated with the flea infestation. Its a knockdown agent and so once the treated area is dry, you must vacuum. The liquid concentrate, Masterline Bifenthrin, is a killing agent that has a residual time. It can be used both outside and inside. Indoors, it is primarily used near the floor boards, door frames and etc.
The small 1 ounce bottle is an IGR. IGR stands for insect growth regulator which doesn't have a killing effect but it does regulate their growth which prohibits them from reproducing.
With fleas, since you have a dog, you must give the dog a bath every week until the flea infestation is controlled.
Q. Now I Have Flea Problem.?
I was wondering something so I thought I had better check with you. Last year I had a roach problem and purchased your Cyper Wp, 1 lb. powder container. I got sick and didn't use it for awhile. When I did use it I was absolutely amazed. I don't have roaches anymore. I will be forever grateful for this product. This year we have a flea problem. We can't keep them off our little chihuahua. I noticed on the container that the Cyper Wp is recommended for fleas also but I couldn't find where it is safe to use as a spray on your dog. Could you tell me if this is safe to use? I'm sure it would work but I don't want to harm him. So I'll wait for your reply. thank you very much for your products.
A. Cyper WP would NOT be recommended to be sprayed on your pet. I would highly recommend the Petcor Flea spray for cats and dogs.
Now with the Cyper WP that you already have, you can do crack and crevice treatment and also treat around the outside perimeter of your home for a complete treatment for fleas.
Once the applied pesticide has fully dried it is safe for pets or small children.
Q. Looking for Fleas repellent?
Do you carry any kind of product I can use on my clothing and skin when I am subjected to areas of flea infestations so I do not bring them home with me. Long story behind this, but do you have something that will last and not so greasy or do you know of a place that does.
A. Unfortunately, we do not carry any products that you can directly apply to your clothes or to your skin. You may need to see a dermatologist that will help you or purchase an over the counter product or repellent.

I see you have several different items for fleas.
For the past three summers, we have had problems with fleas (in the house)!!
We have no indoor animals.
I am the only one the fleas seem to like and I have very bad reaction to the bites.
I am writing to ask you which of your products you think work best for INSIDE the house?
I realize I should also treat outside, but I'm about to go crazy with being bit inside. It seems they always start in July.

Q. Fleas in our bed. How to get rid of them asap??
We have three dogs. All get the monthly frontline flea control and bathed twice a month by a professional groomer. What is available to take care of the entire yard and inside the house, along with the dogs?
A. Talstar Pro is a great product for both indoor and outdoor use but it cannot be sprayed directly on pets or children. Also, when you use it inside, you must give it time to completely dry before you come in contact with the treated area.

Fleas in carpet. can the carpet be sprayed with Bifen I/T and then be walked on after drying.
A. I would not recommend using a liquid insecticide on direct contact with the carpet.
For flea treatment indoors, I would definitely recommend a fogger, such as the Precor Plus Fogger. It contains an IGR, which prevents the fleas from being able to reproduce.
It is safe to use indoors, you just have to close up all the windows and doors of the room that you are fogging.
Let it sit for an hour, and then ventilate the room for another 2 hours. The residual time is up to 7 months
Q. how to get rid of fleas in your house?
Fleas were brought into the home in clothing and packages. the home
affected has no animals. The person living in the home has the body metabolism where fleas are attracted and continue to torment the person. It is an ongoing problem for 2 1/2 years. Professional exterminating was done frequently and still being done regularly. Ultracide is used in the home by the resident in the interim. Presently, Precor was ordered to use in the interim, where fleas are suspected instead of the Ultracide that does not seem to last
for too long. The fleas are a torment during sleep. The mattress was discarded last year and a new one purchased. The exterminators put a bedbug cover on the mattress and bed clothing is washed with hot water weekly. The new mattress is vacuumed regularly. Repellent is used at bedtime on the person affected. They are definitely confirmed as fleas and not any other insect. All of the clothing in the closets were dry cleaned and vacuuming done thoroughly daily for 5 days after professional extermination and frequently after that. The problem persists in spite of all measures, as mentioned, were taken. the person affected had cancer 2 1/2 yearS ago and is receiving Zometa 5 mg IV every 3 months, as an experimental research drug and the cancer is no longer present after a lumpectomy was performed. Chemotherapy followed by radiation was done 2 1/2 years ago after the surgery and therefore; the immune system is compromised. the person affected is susceptible for flea and mosquito bites for many years, since childhood.
Have you any advice for this problem? The person affected wakes up with track marks on hands and arms an also round raised red bites.
The person offering this complaint has no mental problems as may be suspected and it is frustrating when the exterminators don't get it.
The exterminator was given a dead flea to take to the entomologist and he later said he lost it.
Have you any further advice for this continued problem?

A. Because of the health concerns of the individual I would not be able to recommend chemicals for usage.
However I can suggest that you may want to try a different pest control company if the same company has been treating the place and the problem has been consistent for more than 2 years.
Also, if the building that the individual is currently residing in with the infestation has walls being shared with neighbors similar to apartments, condos, or hotels, it may be necessary to exterminate the whole floor since the problem evidently persists to come back time after time.
Q. My cat has had a few fleas. She is on Advantage, but the fleas are obviously still around the house. I plan to buy the Flea Control kit, but do I need the powder (for cracks in the floor) as well? And, what should I use on my mattress??

A. The
Flea Control Kit is a great kit to help you jumpstart your flea control. You can also purchase the contents of this kit separately. The aerosol sprays are used for isolated areas of infestation and if you need to treat your mattress, you can use the Ultracide, but it will have to be restricted to just the seams and folds of the mattress. We do not have any products that you can use to do a broad spray on the entire mattress. If you are consistent and thorough with your liquid treatments, a dust treatment may not be necessary. Q. how many oz. for 1gal. of bifin i/t for fleas?
A. Typically, it requires 1 fl. oz. of Bifen IT to a gallon of water to treat for fleas. Please refer to the product label before applying any pesticides.
Q. can talstar be used in a shampooer?
A. No, it is not labeled for that use. You must use a gallon sprayer that can be purchased from us or from a local hardware store.
Q. Are your flea control products safe to use around a pregnant woman??
A. We do not recommend using aerosols or sprays as people can react differently to chemicals. Pregnant women may be more sensitive to chemicals. If there are chemicals that need to be applied, we recommend vacating the area until the treatment is completely dried from treated areas.
Q. Have pet rats, dogs, and a snake with fleas, how to kill the fleas??
A. If the fleas are infesting the pets, you must get them treated. As far as indoor surface treatment, we recommend using a mixture of Conquer and Precor IGR, focusing on areas where the infestation is heavy, as well as spraying cracks and crevices. Be sure to vacuum daily and dispose of the contents immediately.
Q. flea killer?
I have an eleven year old cat and this year I have a heavy flea infestation here in GA. I have used Adams pyrethrin dip on her without problem but these fleas seem to have proven immune to it in increasing numbers. As well they seem to be immune to Frontline (fipronil) which I used to use for many of the last several years. I have ordered some Advantage for her to see if it will work but I need something to broadcast spray - saturate the carpets to end this problem. I know that "thrin" insecticides such as Permethrin are toxic to her if applied directly but I have heard that they are safe once dry after application - is this true and true for the product Bifen I/T ?
A. Yes, it is true that it is toxic when wet to not only animals, but to people as well. But once it is dried, it is usually safe. However, they cannot be applied as a broadcast spray on carpets and furniture. We recommend Zenprox EC. It is labeled for broadcast spray indoors as well as crack and crevice spray. For furniture treatment though, we only recommend using in on the frame and on the underside of the furniture. Like all other insecticide sprays, you must make sure that all treated areas are avoided until after the treatment has completely dried. We also recommend using an IGR with Zenprox EC. We recommend the Precor IGR as it was made specifically for flea infestations. Please follows all product labels before applying any insecticides.
Q. how long can fleas live if they are not on a dog or cat?
A. Newly emerged adult fleas from the pupa stage can survive for 1-2 weeks without their first blood meal. If however, the newly hatched adults remain inside the pupal cocoon, they can remain dormant for several months or even up to 1 year or more.
Q. have 3 cats all with flees on advantage plus its not working any thing u would recommend?
A. Advantage Plus is not a product that we specialize in. You will have to contact your veterinary service for treating your cats. As for pest control products that you can spray on surfaces of the house, we recommend using Precor 2000 as a contact kill spray in isolated areas of infestation and Conquer Insecticide and Precor IGR in cracks and crevices along the baseboards and under or behind furniture. All treated areas must be completely dry before reentry and all labels must be thoroughly reviewed before the application of any pesticide.
Q. What is the mixing ratio for Talstar Professional Insecticide when trying to get rid of fleas in my home and in my yard??

A. It is 1 ounce per gallon of water for flea control with Talstar.
Q. Flea infestattion.?
I have used Frontline for many years and was very successful in preventing my Brussels Griffon from getting fleas. Recently he developed a flea problem and his Vet thought he had possibly developed an immunity to Frontline and suggested I change to using Certifect, which I did. The flea problem persists, which leads us to believe that the dog has brought the fleas into our apartment and we need to have the apartment fumigated to resolve the problem. Of course, I do not see any eveidence of fleas in the apartment, but I understand that their existence would not be obvious to the naked eye. Question: Is there a product available that may provide a solution, rather than spending a great amount of money and inconvenience in having a professional fumigation?
A. All of the professional grade pest control products here will provide a solution as long as you use it as labeled and apply it thoroughly, as well as follow the residual for follow up treatments. For flea control, you must also vacuum daily. We recommend products like the Precor line of flea control products as well as Zenprox. Use the fogger first as an initial treatment and follow up with a residual product like Zenprox mixed with the Precor IGR. What is the best treatment that you would recommend to break the adult/egg cycle ??
A. We definitely recommend a product that has IGR mixed into already or have an IGR applied separately from a killing agent. Our Precor 2000 Plus aerosol spray and Ultracide aerosol spray both have IGR mixed in. If you are looking for a flea IGR, we recommend Precor, which was made specifically for fleas. Keep in mind that an IGR does not have a killing effect. Instead, it prohibits them from physically maturing so that they are ultimately unable to reproduce.
Q. Can't get rid of the fleas?
We have a flea problem in our house. Our indoor cat has been on advantage for 3 months. We have all hardwood floors. One small area rug in the living room, which I vacuum daily. Our couches are leather. I'm considering using precor 2000 plus on all the floors. Is it safe to use on the leather couches? Also, I'm pregnant, so I'm concerned about using chemicals. Is it safe for me to administer these products?
A. Indoor cat fleas can be difficult to get rid of if you do not keep with consistency and thoroughness of treatment. Since you have a lot of hardwood floors, it is difficult for them to hide and nest. It is important that you continue to vacuum and continue to keep up with cleaning the floors regularly. You can use Precor 2000, but we do not recommend using it on the surface. Instead, take the cushions off the couch and treat the edges of the cushion and the cushion frame. You should also treat the rug that you have with the Precor 2000 Plus. Wait until the area has completely dried before reentry. Q. I have a flea problem that appears in the basement and comes from the outside. We have cats that go out; but I believe a crawl space at the end of the basement is a main source.?
A. For flea problems, we would recommend a combination of Archer IGR with Conquer. For heavier infestations the majority of the initial population can be knocked out by using Demize EC. However since Demize EC does not contain a residual effect you will need to follow up with using Conquer. Once the applied surfaces have been fully dried, it is safe for your cats to reoccupy the area.
Q. My cellar is concrete and I have tired everything to rid the basement of fleas and our living areas what can i do to rid the fleas?
A. For the basement and cellar area I would recommend using a product like Precor Fogger. This product contains an IGR to help prevent them from being able to reach a stage where they can continue to reproduce. If you have carpeting in other areas of the home I would recommend Flea Stoppers.
