Niban Granular Bait - 4 lbs.

A great alternative to synthetic insecticides, Niban Granular Bait is a borate product that controls pests without the risks posed by other insecticides. Naturally-occurring borates have long been known to have insecticidal properties, used mainly to kill ants, cockroaches and termites. Niban contains 5% Orthoboric Acid, a potent stomach poison and an exoskeleton abrasive. Excellent for residual treatments, Niban is moisture-resistant, odorless and long lasting.

Why Should You Use?

Niban is less toxic than granular baits with synthetic active ingredients.

Target Pest(s): Ants (Argentine, Carpenter, Thief, Pharaoh, Little Black, Pavement, Odorous House and Crazy Ants), Cockroaches (Asian, American Brown, Brown Bended, Smokey Brown, German and Oriental Cockroaches), Crickets (Camel, House, Field and Mole Crickets), Earwigs, Slugs, Snails and Silverfish

Directions for Use

Niban is a ready-to-use product that can be used in broadcast, spot or crack and crevice applications. Apply using hand operated spreaders, mechanical spreaders dusters or similar application equipment. Apply only as directed in the product label. Do not contaminate with other insecticides. The product may be used in bait stations. Keep children and pets away from treatment areas.

FOR CONTROL OF PESTS ON LAWNS, ORNAMENTAL TURF, PLAYING FIELDS, PARKS AND GOLF COURSES: Apply evenly to treatment areas using mechanical spreaders at the rate of 2 lbs. per 1,000 square feet or 90 lbs. per acre. For best results, irrigate treatment areas prior to applications and apply late in the afternoon.

FOR EXTERIOR BAITING: Treat exterior perimeter areas of structures by making a band 2 to 4 feet wide. Also apply to wood piles, trees, stumps, tree cavities and other areas where pests are present. Apply 1/2 to 1 pound of the product to ant trails, mounds and infected cavities.

FOR CONTROL OF PESTS IN AND AROUND BUILDINGS: For interior applications, apply at the rate of 4 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Spread evenly in sites where insects typically hide such as crawlspaces, attics, basements, baseboards, cracks, crevices, voids and other areas where insect activity is present.

FOR PERIMETER TREATMENTS: Treat areas around foundations, exterior walls, flower beds, sidewalks, driveways, wood piles, refuse areas, landscape lighting, street lamps, leaf litter and trash cans. Apply bait uniformly at the rate of 6 oz. per 100 sq. ft. in a band at least 2 feet wide.

Where to Apply

Niban Granular Bait is for use in homes, apartments, garages, schools, hotels, hospitals, warehouses, supermarkets, restaurants, grocery stores, transportation equipment, and other residential, commercial, food-handling and industrial establishments.

Do You Have a Question about this Product? Ask Our Experts!

Q. Outside use of NiBan and pets?
A.  There is potential harm when using granule baits when you have small children or pets around. If you are using Niban for ant or roach control, consider using pre-baited and tamper free bait stations. Maxforce and Advion both have these types of baits available. If you are doing ant control, considering using the Niban with the Ant No More Bait Stations.

Q. I have camel backs in my basement apartment and my 3 year old grandson lives there. I have bated tiny babies in glue traps and think this is a good is group of crickets. I would like to use nib an and was wondering how to apply this product.?
A.  We do not recommend using Niban because it s is a granular product that is generally used outdoors. Instead, we recommend using LambdaStar to spray onto perimeters, cracks & crevices, windowsills, doorways, etc.
