Q. Pest Control Incecticide?
our pest control guy has added this ingredient for the last 3 months and we've noticed each time our dog acts sick for a few days afterwards. We wait till it dries before letting him out but apparently he is being exposed to it. How dangerous is this? Should we discontinue our pest control?
A. Please find out the name of the ingredient and then call the manufacturer of the product. With a question this technical, it is better to consult the manufacturer directly or even your local veterinarian to find out what kind of adverse effects this substance can have on your dog. Good luck!
Q. noseeums control?
i have been dealing with noseeums in my apt for three years. now these thing are in my hair i can feel them moving around i haved moved from the apartment beforesept. 2011,but all i've done is moved the noseeums from one place to another can someone please help me with a spray or fogger or something.
If you have a fogging machine, you can use Riptide ULV or a misting concentrate called EcoExempt Misting Concentrate and Emulsifier. Those are the only types of "foggers" that we can recommend.
We do not carry and pressurized foggers in cans that have No See Ums on the label.
Also, we do carry a liquid concentrate called Onslaught that you dilute with water and spray on surfaces. Onslaught provides a long residual and you will only need to reapply every 3-5 months.
Q. Citrus leafmining control?
Do you have anything to control citrus leafminer? Thanks
A. The Merit line that's made by the manufacturing company Backed by Bayer is a great insecticide for leafminers. However, because citrus leafminers will infest edible plants, there are not many insecticides that are available. Unfortunately, even with the Merit line, you must wait at least 12 months before you can eat the plants that the citrus leafminers are infesting. Almost no insecticide can be used near or around edible garden or orchard plants. But the Merit WP or the rest of the Merit products we carry will be closest you will find to an insecticide that can control leafminers on edible plants.
Q. Iris borers control?
Is orthene effective for control of bearded iris borers? If not, do you have suggestions as to what chemical does an effective job? I plan to remove and burn stem debris to reduce the egg issue.

. This product will be effective against borers.
Q. do our own pest control ?
can you recommend a spray for the perimeter outside of our home for bugs etc. that is pet safe. We recently stopped using orkin and want to do our own pest control due to finances.
We would recommend a multi-purpose insecticide such as Talstar Pro
or Suspend SC
for spraying around the perimeter of your home. However, certain pests are targeted better with different insecticides. Talstar and Suspend are both good for overall perimeter treatment, but please contact us again if you have a specific pest you want to especially target.

Q. CRAWL SPACE INSECTICIDE?
I HAVE A 1 FOOT HIGH CRAWL SPACE UNDER PART OF MY HOUSE. WHAT IS THE OVERALL STRONGEST PRODUCT THAT I CAN SPRAY UNDER THERE TO MAINTAIN AN INSECT FREE AREA? HOME DEPOT HAS SOME PRODUCTS, BUT I WANT SOMETHING STRONGER. THANK YOU.
For general pest control treatment we would recommend Suspend SC
. Suspend SC is a liquid concentrated insecticide that will need to be diluted with water before use.
This would be great for spraying vertical surfaces with in the crawl space area.
However for easy application on horizontal surfaces such as the ground, granular insecticides tend to serve as an easier way of application. Talstar EZ
would be a good granular to use for insect treatment.

Using aerosols for book lice like 565 Plus XLO

Q. squash borers?
I was wondering if it is safe to use Drione dust on tomato plants (as far as human consumption of the tomatoes). I purchased some from Pest Mall awhile back and really like the residual effect of the dust. I searched online and couldn't find an answer. I'm having a problem with what i believe is squash bugs and tomato worms. Thanks.
A. Drione Dust is not labeled for use around the garden or fruit trees and can be potentially very harmful if it is misused. We have one product called the Cyonara Lawn and Garden Spray that is labeled for tomato worms but this product does not have squash bugs on the label.

SHE IS DISABLED PLEASE SOMEONE NEEDS TO HELP US FIND SOMETHING TO SPRAY IN THE HOME TO GET RID OF THESE BUGS. WHAT CAN I BUY FOR YOU TO USE.?

A. It could be biting midges. Try rubbing baby oil on her skin to see if that helps relieve some of the bites. For biting midges we would recommend Onslaught. It may help to use it along with a synergist like Exponent. A synergist just helps boost the effectiveness of the insecticide. Its hard for us to really recommend anything with out knowing for sure what it is. But from your description it sounds like it can be biting midges because they are also hard to see. I would first start with applying baby oil on her skin in the areas where she is feeling the irritation and see if that helps.

It sounds like you have azalea caterpillars according to the description. The best and proper way to identify it is to send us a clear image of the pest to our e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may better assist you. You can also consult your local entomologist.

A. Symphylans are commonly known as garden centipedes. They can be a large nuisance in many gardens and green houses. An effective product labeled for garden symphylans is a product called Evergreen Pyrethrum. If you have an organic garden, then I would recommend the use of Azera Insecticide.
Q. I have a flea problem. I've given the cat a pill. Obviously, I want to treat the inside of f the house. Do I have to have the outside of the house treated also. The cat is 80% indoor. I've used your Ultracide IGR inside and it really hasn't helped. Do you have a strong spray for indoors that won't harm furniture etc.?
