Q.i have carpenter bee-holes all over my house witch is western cedar wood.im going to fill all the holes first, then re-stain!Is there a additive i can put in the stain to prevent them from returning?
A.There is no such additive to prevent them from returning. We do recommend treating the holes before you fill them in and waiting until you can be sure that you have eradicated the entire infestation. We also recommend after filling in the holes, that you keep up with regular pest control maintenance by spraying surfaces with a residual insecticide. Some of the ones that we recommend for carpenter bees are Suspend SC and Cy-Kick CS. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
