The story of the Three Blind Mice is not totally false. Rodents actually have very poor vision and will use much other their other senses to react to their surroundings before they use their sense of vision. That is why they will react much more quickly to scents than sight. The rodent lures that we have available for both mice and rat infestations are powerful attractants that make use of the sense of smell by rodents by attracting rodents with scents that are simply irresistible. They have been used by professional pest control management companies in rodent control programs to not only make sure that the rodents are being trapped, but to also actually increase the rates and speed of trapping.

How Rat & Mouse Lure Work
Although many pest control management companies make use of real foods like peanut butter, meat, seeds, and etc, they will often times choose a rodent lure over real foods. Real foods are great attractants, however, raw meats and foods are prone to decay and over a short period of time, real food lures are no longer attractive because they have already spoiled. The lures that are available here at Pest Mall is made with food grade nuts and/or food grade oils that effectively attract rodents to the assigned traps. This is because rodents use their sense of smell over all other senses and the scents that the rodent lures give off are completely attractive to the rodents. You can use the rodent lures with almost all traps including any type of mechanical traps like multi-catch or rotating mouse traps, plastic snap traps, wooden snap traps, live rat traps, and even glue traps. They can also be used inside bait stations that hold rodenticide baits to furthermore attract the rodents.
Keep in mind that the rodent lures simply attract mice and rats. They are not poisons. The rodent lures that are made available at Pest Mall do not have a killing effect and are not capable of eliminating rodent infestations.
How to Use Rat & Mouse Lure
There are a few things that homeowners and business owners may want to keep in mind before applying rodent lures. The first tip would be to use the lure before setting the traps. On top of an unset trap, use the lure to let the rodent become familiar with it. Once you know they have come in contact with the attractant, you can then set the trap with a reapplication of the rodent lure. This will provide more assuring results. Another key to keep in mind is that rodent lures are oil based. If they are to be used with glue traps, use a protective layer between the lure and the glue so that the glue does not become defected.
To apply the rodent lure, simply remove the tip and squeeze some of the rodent lure out on the trap. The rodent lures that Pest Mall provides are not toxic to people and will not stain.
