Rodent Proofing Copper Mesh - 100 ft. Roll

Made of 100% Copper and Non-Flammable, Rodent Proofing Copper Wire is an access control device for preventing rodents, birds and insects from entering into holes in structures. This Rodent Proofing Mesh is made from woven copper wires. This makes the product more durable and corrosion-resistant than steel wool or mesh.

Why Should You Use?

Using copper meshes to control animals is more humane than poisoned baits or mechanical traps.

Target Pest(s): Rodents, Birds, Insects and other wildlife
Width: 6 inches
Length: 100 feet

Directions for Use

Cut to size using scissors or any cutting tool. Seal off holes either by stuffing the wire mesh inside cracks and crevices or by covering the holes over. Plug small holes with compressed mesh, making sure it fits snugly inside the void. For larger holes, lay out the copper wool and secure the ends with glue, staples, nails or any fastener capable of keeping the screen taut in place.

Where to Apply

Use Rodent Proofing Copper Wire to seal entry holes in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

Q. Is this mesh suitable to construct a small faraday cage??
A.  Unfortunately, we are unable to tell you if it is used for that type of construction. Because this copper mesh is fairly lightweight and is usually stuffed into cracks and crevices to keep rodents out, it may be too weak to be used to construct a cage.

Q. I dont know where mice are getting in. Can I place it outside against the foundation of the house? Or can you give me other ideas, I live in a ranch style home with a basement, mice get into the basement, and also in the kitchen under the sink, in the stove. I get a few several times a year and desperately want a way to keep them out. Thank you?
A.  A mouse can squeeze through a hole that is as almost as small as the size of a dime. Therefore a thorough inspection to find cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the home is crucial to control. You should also inspect utility lines that enter the home because they provide entry points for the mice. We recommend setting up traps in isolated areas of infestation like the areas that you have pinpointed (under the sink, under the stove). If you have pets or children and have decided to use snap traps, remember to place them in areas that are unreachable. Glue boards can be placed in corners and alongside the walls. If you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact us again.
